Man accused of targeting immigrants in Yonkers in years-long scam

According to Louhud.com, a Washington State man is accused of scamming at least 17 illegal immigrants in Yonkers, telling them he could get them U visas and legal status for a $5,000 fee from his fabricated "U.S. Counter Insurgents Association of Justice". He created fake applications for an additional $3,000, taking $8,000 from each victim, according to prosecutors.

Sheriff says SeaTac Bob’s Burgers takeover-robbery was a ‘hoax’ in attempt to qualify for visa for crime victims

Mexican man admits faking his own kidnapping in St. Paul to gain visa, authorities say

A St. Paul based illegal alien admitted to faking his own kidnapping, as reported to the Pioneer Press, to have a qualifying crime for a U visa. His nephew tied him up with duct tape, and dumped him in the freezing snow to lend his ‘kidnapping’ legitimacy. He pled guilty to one count of visa fraud and one count of illegally reentering the United States.

Sexual assault charge dismissed, deportation likely for man jailed 3 years

According to the Waco Tribune-Herald, prosecutors dismissed sexual assault and domestic violence charges against a man, the same day he was set for trial. “A vengeful ex-girlfriend tried to frame her child’s father over a custody fight and she used the district attorney to obtain legal immigration status,” the man’s attorney said. “My client spent three years in jail because of her agenda and the gender politics of the Family Abuse Center.”
